Recognized for their Design2Deliver approach and their ability to combine user experience, software development, and system integration, Intesys and Intesys Networking bring to the Lynx Group a vision strongly focused on innovation and user centricity.
In the interview, Intesys CEO Alberto Gaiga shares insights from the first months of integration, highlighting the synergies emerging between the two companies and how the meeting of Lynx’s industrial strength and Intesys’s digital agility is creating an ecosystem that multiplies value and opportunities.
Several months have passed since Intesys joined the Lynx Group. What impressions have you gathered so far?
"The strongest and clearest impression from these first months of working together is the confirmation of our strategic vision. There’s great momentum, but above all, we can clearly see the enormous complementarity between our two organizations. Intesys has a well-established ‘Design2Deliver’ model that allows us to manage end-to-end projects—from analysis to ongoing management—with great effectiveness for mid-sized and upper mid-sized companies. Lynx operates with extraordinary strength on large enterprise clients and large-scale projects, both in terms of investment and duration, and is structured into four key areas: innovation, consulting, development, and technology platforms.
The feeling is excellent because our two models don’t overlap - they multiply opportunities. We’re discovering how our integrated approach can bring agility to their scale, and how their wide range of specialized expertise can enrich our offering. It truly feels like we’re building an ecosystem that fits us perfectly, day by day.
This confirms that Intesys made the right choice in seeking a strong industrial partner - not merely a financial one - a goal we actively pursued over the past four years together with Intesys’ shareholders. It’s the most solid and promising decision we could have made."
The integration process between two companies is never just operational. From your perspective, how is the meeting between Intesys and Lynx taking shape in terms of culture and ways of working?
"These months have been full of energy and mutual exchange. Our first goal was to work together on market projects, but that also gave us the chance to get to know each other’s people, share our approaches, and discover - on both sides - excellent skills and strong soft skills.
What struck me most was the energy shown by both Intesys and Lynx people, genuinely curious and eager to get to know and challenge one another. When two organizations come together, the first concern is always about integration and chemistry between people. I must say that at Lynx we found a welcoming environment - people who are kind, open, and incredibly receptive. In many ways, it’s been the strong technological and methodological competence on both sides that has revealed a powerful and valuable complementarity.
More than an ‘integration,’ we’re experiencing this first phase as the construction of a shared way of working, where each side - Intesys and Lynx -brings great value, expertise, and vision. Every day we discover new touchpoints and opportunities for alignment."
Intesys is known as a digital company with a strong identity and an innovation-oriented culture. What has joining the Lynx Group represented for Intesys?
"For a company like Intesys - with a strong identity built on innovation and technological excellence - this step is a true ‘multiplier of opportunities.’ For years, we have built top-level expertise, but operated on a scale that, while meaningful, had its limits. Joining the Lynx Group means being able to bring our culture into national and international projects that impact complex industrial systems.
Our identity doesn’t get diluted or lost - it grows stronger. We now have the opportunity to play a key role in the mid and upper mid-market segment, constantly demonstrating how much value we can add to Lynx’s projects and clients with our innovative Design2Deliver approach.
We’re moving from ‘always doing well’ with high client satisfaction to ‘making a difference’ on a much larger scale."
What are Intesys’ distinctive strengths that you are bringing- or plan to bring- into the Group?
"Our strengths are exactly those needed to compete today. We’re not just ‘system integrators’ or ‘developers.’ Our uniqueness lies in our ability to manage the entire digital value chain - from User Experience design, using User-Centered Design methods, to technological implementation.
Success today doesn’t come only from well - designed architectures or top technology - it comes from the ability to create seamless, simple, and effective cross - channel experiences for all of our clients’ stakeholders. That’s why Intesys positions itself as a partner rather than a supplier: a company capable of guiding clients through the complementary skills needed to achieve their business goals.
Our contribution to the Group is threefold: we serve the mid and upper mid-market segment, which Lynx has so far only partially covered. We deliver projects through a user-centered approach (UCD, UX, and D2D). We design and implement modern, highly scalable integration architectures based on open platforms.
Wherever there’s a complex industrial process, we can embed customer-centricity (thanks to UX), build the enabling software platforms (through development), and connect them with existing systems (via system integration).
We’re bringing to the Group the ability to operate quickly, efficiently, and cost-effectively in a new market segment- one that’s very relevant in Italy and, with Lynx’s support, potentially abroad in the near future."
Within Intesys, there’s also Intesys Networking, specialized in IT services and outsourcing. How does this internal synergy create added value for the Lynx Group and its clients?
"Intesys Networking is one of the key pillars enabling our innovation offering. It’s crucial because it allows us to activate and manage the complex integration architectures - often in public cloud environments - that Intesys designs.
You can’t build advanced digital experiences without a performant, secure, and rapidly scalable IT infrastructure managed proactively.
The internal synergy with Intesys Networking enables us to offer clients- and now the entire Lynx Group - a complete, turnkey value proposition.
For clients, this means having a single partner responsible for both the technological foundations - from cloud integration architectures to connectivity and security - and the application solutions built on top of them. It’s a guarantee of reliability, consistency, and single accountability that few can offer."
Looking ahead to the coming months, what opportunities do you see for Intesys as part of the Lynx Group? And what do you think should be the immediate priorities?
"Our top priority now is to put into action the synergies we’ve identified. The biggest opportunity lies in integrating our offerings. We must become skilled at presenting ourselves to the market as a single force: Lynx’s industrial strength combined with Intesys’ digital innovation capability.
Concretely, we’re focusing on launching our first joint projects in sectors where Lynx has a long-standing presence - banking, insurance, and multi-utilities above all.
But the most strategic action in the coming months will be internal: we’ll work on transferring Intesys’ values and distinctive methodologies to all Lynx sales, pre-sales, and project management leaders. I’m talking about our design expertise (UCD/UX/UI), our architectural design skills, and above all, our model for efficient, fast, and profitable management of mid-sized projects.
This cross-company exchange of know-how is the real accelerator that will enable us to build a long series of shared success stories."
