Lynx acquires Linkalab and strengthens its leadership in Artificial Intelligence

Lynx, an Italian group specializing in the design and implementation of digital solutions, has acquired Linkalab, a consulting firm specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

Based in Cagliari, Linkalab operates as a private research and development lab focused on emerging AI and data science technologies. It supports clients in a highly specialized and constantly evolving sector, providing consulting, internal training, and the development of data-driven and AI-enhanced solutions. Linkalab’s tailor-made approach is designed to meet the specific needs of each client, fostering skills development and innovation.

Linkalab’s integration enhances Lynx’s tech ecosystem and enables the launch of highly innovative initiatives. A dedicated AI lab is now being created, with a strong R&D focus on market-ready solutions. The Group is also launching a training program for AI adoption, targeting both internal teams and clients. Thanks to Linkalab’s expertise in Deep Learning and Generative AI, Lynx’s capabilities in Data Management are further consolidated. This integration also unlocks the potential to scale projects and volumes across multiple markets.

This acquisition is part of Lynx’s broader strategic growth plan, aimed at strengthening its presence in the digital sector through organic development and targeted acquisitions. It is the second operation completed after the buyback of shares in Lynx S.p.A. previously held by FSI, with the support of Carlyle’s Global Credit platform.

To ensure continuity and preserve the company’s identity, Alessandro Chessa has been confirmed as CEO and will remain a shareholder of the new Linkalab.

“With Linkalab, we strengthen our ability to turn innovation into real value for businesses. The combination of our industrial know-how with Linkalab’s scientific approach allows us to accelerate the development of advanced AI solutions and support our clients on solid, measurable transformation journeys,” said Matteo Moretti, CEO of the Lynx Group.

“We share with Lynx a strategic vision of how the current AI revolution is impacting business. We are thrilled to bring years of research and development into an Italian group and become its scientific and technical engine.
This move will allow us to scale our ambitions, both in serving our clients and in keeping pace with the rapid, unpredictable evolution of artificial intelligence,” said Alessandro Chessa, CEO of Linkalab.
